Below you will find the answers to frequently asked questions regarding the Civil Service College and how to access our courses and partners.

  • All of the courses offered directly by the Civil Service College are offered free of charge to core Civil Servants.  For courses that we offer sponsorship for, e.g. Leadership Cayman, CSC may cover part of the cost. 

  • Candidates agree upon registration of a funded course to complete the training in a timely manner.  Failure to do so may result in a request for reimbursement of the fees from the individual’s department. 

  • For SAGCs there will be a cost and this can be discussed with HR representatives when an application from an SAGC is made. 

  • The Civil Service College runs both online and face-to-face training during typical working hours (9am – 5pm).  Your Manager will need to agree to the time spent in training when you register for the course.   

  • Through access to Linkedin Learning, all civil servants also have access to on-demand training that they can complete whenever they want.  Linkedin Learning provides access to over 16,000 courses. Pathways linked to the core competencies are accessible on the Core Competencies page and each month our team will make recommendations for specific learning topics on the Learning Corner page.
