The Workplace Digital Skills Programme is designed to help you work more efficiently, solve everyday challenges, and make the most of the tools you use at work. Whether you want to strengthen your foundations or take your skills to the next level, this hands-on training will give you practical techniques you can apply right away.
This programme is delivered in partnership with the University College of the Cayman Islands (UCCI) and offered by the Civil Service College (CSC) as part of its commitment to developing a highly skilled, adaptable, and future-ready Cayman Islands Civil Service. Our goal is to equip staff with the digital capabilities they need to thrive in a rapidly changing workplace, improve efficiency, and deliver high-quality service to the public. This course is taught in-person at the Governmant Administration Building in Grand Cayman.
What You'll Learn
Across both streams, the programme builds confidence and capability with the digital tools that support everyday work — Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, professional email and calendar management, data handling and analysis, presenting information clearly, cybersecurity awareness, IT troubleshooting, and the practical, responsible use of AI for everyday tasks like drafting, summarising, and organising information.

How It Works
- Register online – Secure your spot in the next intake.
- Complete your Digital Skills Readiness Check – You will find the link to the Readiness Check on the Learning Management System during the application process. Completing this helps us place you in the stream that's the best fit for your current skills and goals.
- Start learning – You’ll receive information on your placement and start date to begin the programme.
Programme Streams
Once you complete the Readiness Check, you’ll be placed in one of two streams:
Foundational Stream — 8 sessions For participants who want to strengthen their confidence and efficiency in core workplace tools. Focuses on essential skills that form the base for more advanced digital work.
Applied Stream — 4 sessions An intensive option for participants who are already confident with core tools and ready to focus on advanced applications, problem-solving, and productivity optimisation.
Your stream will be based on your Readiness Check results, ensuring you get the training that will help you most right now.
