Learning at Work Week celebrates and promotes a culture of continuous growth across the Civil Service.
This year’s theme, “Collaboration in Action” shines a spotlight on the power of respectful, collaborative relationships in achieving shared goals, within departments, across the Civil Service, and in alignment with our broader strategic priorities. It also reflects our commitment to equipping individuals with the skills they need to grow their careers and increase their impact.
With collaboration identified as a key area for development in the latest Employee Engagement Report, this week offers a valuable opportunity for civil servants at all levels to strengthen essential teamwork skills, build meaningful connections, break down silos and develop a passion for learning.
Join us for a dynamic mix of in-person and online sessions, led by expert facilitators and CIG partners, designed to support rapid upskilling, stronger cross-functional collaboration, and greater alignment across teams.

Building on Part 1, this session focuses on practical strategies for leaders, managers, and employees to foster psychological safety in their teams. In-person session (2 hours) limited seats available
This course is suitable for all public servants and covers key data protection terms, the data protection principles, and your important role as a public servant. This course builds on our DP 101 online course and is only available in-person.

Effective communication is critical to sustained success at work. This programme has been designed to equip learners with the tools to engage, interact and influence effectively. + How to Work with Complicated People: Turn Tension into Collaboration
In this practical 3-hour workshop, you'll map your own "complications": triggers under pressure, blind spots, and habits that keep conflict alive. You'll learn to read others' drivers without blame and use language that lowers defensiveness and raises accountability.
We'll unpack the Five Qs—IQ, EQ, AQ, DQ, TQ—and show how to blend them to lead across differences, cultures, and generations.
