Our Initiatives
National Symbols
- Following approval from Cabinet in February 2024, the Cayman Islands now has five (5) additional national symbols.
Caymanian Dialect
- “Caymanian Word of the Day” videos highlight local phrases to preserve heritage and promote understanding across generations.
Emancipation Day
- Emancipation Day was reinstated in 2024 as a public holiday to honour the Cayman Islands' history and celebrate its progress. This day signifies a pivotal moment in our nation's journey toward freedom and justice, reflecting the core of our identity as a people.
