Young Caymanians Encouraged to Register for Financial Literacy Programme
The National Youth Commission is renewing its call for Caymanian youth aged 14-25 to join the Financial Literacy Progamme (FLP). The FLP is a free, internationally recognised learning pathway designed to build confidence in budgeting, saving, investing, and informed financial decision-making.

Nominations for (2026-27) Proud of Them Youth Award Open Soon
Nominations for the prestigious Proud of Them Youth Recognition Awards open on Sunday, 1 March 2026. Caymanian youth aged 10 to 25 may be nominated, including self-nominations, in the categories of Academics, Sports, Community Service, Business, Career and Culture. The deadline for submissions is Saturday, 21 March 2026 at 11:59PM.

Public Invited to Advanced Screening of "The Bluff"
The screening for Grand Cayman will take place on Saturday, 14 February at Pedro St. James at 7:00PM. For Cayman Brac, the screening will take place on Sunday, 15 February at the Aston Rutty Centre at 4:00PM.

Honourable Benson Ebanks Announced as New National Hero
The late Benson Obadiah Ebanks, OBE, was posthumously announced as a new national hero at the National Heroes Day ceremony on Monday, 26 January at Heroes Square, George Town.

A seasoned golfer, chess champion, top swimmer, football stars, academic achievers, talented musicians and dancers comprised the latest 15 Hounourees of the Proud of Them Youth Awards Programme. The annual Proud of Them Gala celebrated their contributions on Wednesday, 19 November, under the theme “Inspiration in Action.” For 13 years, the programme has recognised youth achievements across the awarding categories of: community service, business, academics, career, sports and culture.
