Proud of Them 2025 Honourees Announced
A seasoned golfer, chess champion, top swimmer, football stars, academic achievers, talented musicians and dancers comprised the latest 15 Hounourees of the Proud of Them Youth Awards Programme. The annual Proud of Them Gala celebrated their contributions on Wednesday, 19 November, under the theme “Inspiration in Action.” For 13 years, the programme has recognised youth achievements across the awarding categories of: community service, business, academics, career, sports and culture.

Pirates Week Drone Show Postponement Update
On Saturday, 15 November, the highly anticipated Pirates Week Drone Show was postponed due to interference with the drone signal. Out of an abundance of caution, the decision was made to rescheduled the show for Tuesday, 18 November.

National Recognition Awards Nomination Period Extended
The National Recognition Awards Committee has extended the nomination period for the 2026 National Recognition Awards, originally known as the National Heroes Day Awards. The new deadline is Friday, 31 October 2025, at 11:59 p.m.
