Meaningful Momentum: First Year Anniversary Update
19 May 2026 | Report

One year ago, the people of the Cayman Islands voted for the candidates they believed would best represent their interests, effect change where it mattered most and lead our country with integrity and vision. The result was a diverse group of members from different parties and backgrounds who put egos aside for the good of the country – and that is the strength of the National Coalition For Caymanians Government. As a coalition, we bring different perspectives and priorities to the table, but we are united in working together, on your behalf, for a stronger, fairer Cayman Islands.

The NCFC Government is now one year into a four-year term – one year since we gathered for our first Cabinet meeting, and six months operating under our own Strategic Policy Statement and Budget. This is just the beginning.

Budget Statements 2016-2017
26 November 2021 | Report

The Budget Statements specify the output delivery and ownership performance expected of each Ministry, Portfolio or Office for the 2016 and 2017 financial years.

In some cases, a Ministry/Portfolio/Office is providing an output which is being funded by way of a user-charge paid by the public but the user-charge is insufficient to cover the full cost of the output. Where this occurs, Cabinet subsidises the shortfall (in other words, part of the output is paid for by the user and part by the Cabinet). In these cases the portion of the output that Cabinet is purchasing is included in Output Performance sections of the Budget Statements and the quantity, quality, timeliness and location measures reflect only the portion Cabinet is purchasing. These outputs are noted accordingly.
