Her primary goal is to support the Committee in disseminating its message of wellness throughout the Civil Service and practicing what she preaches. She sees exercise, in any form, as an avenue to build and strengthen social interactions and develop a sense of community. Whether it’s promoting mental health awareness, encouraging healthy habits, or organizing initiatives that bring people together. He  wants to contribute to making wellness a priority for everyone. The invitation to become a part of the CIG Wellness Committee came from an orientation session I attended with the Civil Service body when he first came to the Cayman Islands 2 years ago. He is excited to collaborate with like-minded individuals and make a real impact in our community.

Aneal Bharath

Ministry of Education and Training

Aneal recently joined the Wellness Committee, bringing his expertise as both a civil servant and a mental health professional. Over the years, he has worked closely with students, families, and staff to help them navigate some of life’s most challenging moments, whether coping with trauma, managing burnout, or handling the everyday stress of showing up strong for others.

He chose to join the Wellness Committee because he believes wellbeing is not solely an individual responsibility but a system-wide opportunity. Across ministries and departments, civil servants face real challenges, and often the barriers are the unspoken ones: stress that goes unnamed, beliefs that go unquestioned, or health habits that never have the time or space to develop.

Aneal’s mission is not to change anyone’s way of life, but rather to highlight strategies, encourage conversations, and share research-backed tools that can support wellbeing without shame, stigma, or “one size fits all” solutions. His approach is grounded in cultural humility, open dialogue, and a deep respect for the individuals who make the civil service thrive each day.

He is honoured to be part of the Wellness Committee and looks forward to helping make wellness something real and accessible for all.
