What We Do
The Strategic Reforms Implementation Unit within the Office of the Deputy Governor is responsible for the strategic development and implementation of specific Government projects on behalf of the Deputy Governor. SRIU provides strategic oversight and support to the Deputy Governor, Chief Officers and their project teams to achieve common objectives.

To establish an effective implementation framework for Public Service reform initiatives, and oversee, guide and monitor its successful delivery by Ministry project teams, to achieve a consistent, best-practice approach to strategic change.

Professional Certification Programme
SRIU also facilitates professional certification courses for Civil Servants in Project Management, Business Case Development and Change Management.
In 2015, the Cayman Islands Government (“CIG”) launched Project Future, a five-year programme of public sector reform designed to drive efficiency and improve the effectiveness of the Cayman Islands public services. The Cayman Islands Civil Service has matured through Project Future, and many of the structures, practices and processes from the Project Future programme have begun integration into business-as-usual. These include the use of business cases for decision making and formal project management tools and methodology for delivering projects.
