Scam Alert: Fraudulent Insurance Refund Text Message

The Cayman Islands Government warns the public about a fraudulent text message claiming to be from Cayman Islands National Insurance Company (CINICO) that prompts recipients to collect an insurance claim settlement by clicking a link to a fake website.

Members of the public are urged not to click the link, reply to the message, or provide any personal or financial information. If you have already done so, contact your bank immediately and report the incident.
