The purpose of a publication scheme is to make information readily available to the public without the need for specific written requests. Schemes are intended to encourage authorities to proactively publish information, to develop a culture of openness and participation.

This publication scheme commits Hazard Management Cayman Islands (HMCI) to making information available to the public as part of its normal business activities.

The National Cancer Registry Discussion White Paper proposes the establishment of a population-based Cancer Registry (PBCR) for the Cayman Islands to strengthen cancer surveillance, support evidence-based policy and service planning, improve the evaluation of cancer prevention and screening programmes, and ultimately reduce the burden of cancer across the Islands.
