The State Opening and First Meeting of the 2026-2027 Session of Parliament began on Friday, 19 June 2026. Her Excellency the Governor, Mrs Jane Owen, delivered the Throne Speech, outlining the Government’s legislative priorities and policy agenda for the 2026-2027 Session. Members of Parliament debated and voted on proposed legislation and discussed policies impacting everyday life in the Cayman Islands.
