Overview
To provide cross-functional support to the Infrastructure Department by assisting with the maintenance, repair, inspection, operation, and upkeep of the Centre's facilities, grounds, fleet, equipment, utilities, Aquatic Life Support Systems (ALSS), and related infrastructure assets. The Assistant Infrastructure Technician supports the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of infrastructure systems throughout the Centre while gaining experience across multiple technical disciplines.
Duties and Responsibilities
The candidate will assist with the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of the Centre's infrastructure, facilities, grounds, fleet, and utility systems, ensuring safe and efficient operations. Responsibilities include supporting preventive maintenance programmes, completing inspections and maintenance records, performing general building and grounds maintenance, assisting with event setup, maintaining tools and equipment, and supporting the operation of Aquatic Life Support Systems (ALSS), generators, pumps, and other mechanical and utility infrastructure.
The role also involves monitoring equipment performance, maintaining inventory, participating in emergency preparedness and hurricane response activities, and performing other related duties to support the Centre's operational objectives.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Technical training, vocational certification, trade experience, or previous maintenance experience would be advantageous.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn facilities maintenance, fleet maintenance, utilities, and aquatic systems operations.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, maintenance equipment, and workplace safety practices.
- Ability to perform manual labour and work safely in a variety of environments.
- Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's licence preferred.
- Must be PADI-certified or able to successfully obtain PADI certification.
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with supervisors, colleagues, contractors, volunteers, and other departments.
- Satisfactory written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to communicate issues, observations, and maintenance concerns effectively.

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are on a rotational schedule from Monday to Sunday, 8AM-5PM or as per required schedule according to the business needs.
Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and starting salary will be in the range of Grade: “O” CI $39,408.00 to $43,464.00 per annum.
