Shorelines can vary greatly in appearance depending on factors like the type of land (rocky, sandy, muddy), the slope of the land, the presence of vegetation, and the action of waves, currents, and tides. They are dynamic zones, constantly changing due to natural processes like erosion, sediment deposition, and human activities.
