CBC is reminding importers, brokers, dealers, and members of the public of the existing prohibition on the importation of vehicles eight years or older into the Cayman Islands

The Cayman Islands National Weather Service (CINWS) has announced the successful completion of the upgrade to the Kearney Gomez Doppler Radar. 

The Cayman Islands Customs & Border Control Service (CBC) has intercepted four firearms, ammunition, and a quantity of illegal drugs during a recent border enforcement operation, preventing these items from entering the community.

The Ministry of District Administration and Home Affairs (MDAHA), in collaboration with the Cayman Islands Postal Service (CIPS), has secured Cabinet approval for the Postal (Amendment) Regulations (2026 Revision) (“the Regulations”). 

The 100 trees and shrubs selected are native to the Cayman Islands, and carry historical and ecological significance, such as Duppy Bush, Rosemary and Mahogany.

The gift drive, which benefits young mothers, families and older persons across the islands, invited government employees and community members to select tags from giving trees and fulfil specific holiday wishes.

Initial steps will include appointing the Foundation’s committee, identifying a head office, and recruiting dedicated staff, including a secretary and a fundraising specialist. Start-up funding will be required from Government to support.

Enhancements to corporate legislation aimed at maintaining continued business growth and bolstering the Cayman Islands’ position as a global financial services centre of excellence and innovation will take effect on 1 January 2026,
