Here at the Department of Sports, we believe that every child participating in athetlics should have a positive experience and have the right to feel safe at all times. 

We continuously aim to ensure our coaches and volunteers all undergo First Aid/CPR and Darkness to Light training every two years. We encourage all organizations that work or come in contact with children to have safeguarding policies and procedures in place to ensure every child can be protected from harm. 

We encourage all sporting organisations, coaches, parents, volunteers and all who work with children to take time to familiarize yourself with the relevant legislation, standards, training and agencies to safeguard our children.
