The MEGA CC Challenge: A Triumph in Learning and Growth

In the recent Mega Core Competencies Challenge hosted by the Civil Service College from September to November, employees dove into a thrilling journey of lifelong learning. Their dedication shone bright as they honed skills and competencies, both personal and professional, aligning with the Cayman Islands Government’s Core Competency Framework – Building Capability (September), Working Together (October), Delivering Results (November). Each month was a new adventure, tailored to various responsibility levels – Individual Contributor, Manager/Supervisor, Strategic Director – fostering growth in diverse areas.
Throughout this stimulating three-month challenge, enthusiastic employees took part. The top performers claimed 10 impressive prizes, while a special acknowledgment awaited the department with the most dedicated learners (see list below).
We want to thank our blog writers who supplemented the topics by sharing their personal experiences and insightful views.
Special mention to our Learning Champions who have volunteered their time to promote the monthly learning topics and consistently enrich our CIG Learning Culture.
Core Competency Learning Pathways
Additionally, September saw the launch of fresh Core Competency Pathways on our LinkedIn Learning. These pathways delve deeper into challenge topics and cover a spectrum of identified competency skills. Since their introduction, these pathways have enticed over 150 civil servants to enrol, and nearly 100 have already conquered at least one of their three pathways.
We challenge you to make 2024 a year dedicated to unleashing your full potential through learning!
