Second Meeting of Parliament’s 2025-2026 Session

The Second Meeting of the 2025-2026 Session of Parliament is scheduled to commence on Wednesday, 15th October 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the House of Parliament, George Town.

During this Meeting, Members of Parliament (MPs) are expected to consider two Government Motions, namely:

  1. Government Motion No. 4 of 2025-2026
    The Immigration (Transition) Act (2022 Revision) –
    The Immigration (Transition) (Grant of the Right to be Caymanian) Order, 2025; and
  2. Government Motion No. 5 of 2025-2026
    The Strategic Policy Statement for the 2026-2028 Financial Year

This Meeting will also include 28 Parliamentary Questions from Opposition Members directed to Government Ministers, and Statements by Government Members. No bills and Private Member’s Motion have been submitted for this Meeting. 24 Annual Reports from Ministries, Portfolios, Offices and Government-owned entities are to be Tabled.

The public is invited to follow the proceedings through the live broadcasts on the Government’s YouTube channel, CIGTV cable network, and Radio Cayman. Members of the public are also welcome to attend in person at the House of Parliament after registering with Security.

Relevant documents and updates will be posted on the Parliament’s official website, www.parliament.ky, ahead of the Meeting.
