Nominations Open for King’s New Year Honours 2026 – Deadline - Tuesday 19 May

Do you know someone who has made an exceptional contribution to the Cayman Islands? Someone whose dedication, service, or achievements deserve national recognition? If so, read on.

 

The Governor’s Office is calling for nominations to recognise outstanding individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the Cayman Islands.

 

The King’s New Year Honours celebrate individuals who:

  • Make a real difference in their community or profession
  • Enhance the reputation of the Cayman Islands
  • Show leadership, innovation, or moral courage
  • Serve others through voluntary work or public service

 

Honours span fields such as:

  • Community and voluntary service
  • Arts, media, health, education, science, sport, business, and civil service

 

Anyone can submit a nomination, and you can find nomination forms and guidance at: www.gov.uk/honours/overview

 

Deadline: Tuesday 19 May 2026

Submit nominations to the Governor’s Office by:

In Person – Drop off at reception desk at the Government Administration Building on Elgin Avenue.

The Cayman Honours Committee will review submissions and forward selected nominations to the UK.
