National Workforce Development Committee Launches Caymanian Employment Survey
The National Workforce Development Committee (NWDC) is inviting employers across the Cayman Islands to participate in the Caymanian Employment Survey, which is designed to better understand employers’ experiences in hiring, developing and retaining Caymanian talent.
The survey will gather valuable insights into the availability of suitably qualified Caymanians for employment opportunities, barriers to recruiting and retaining Caymanian employees, internship and apprenticeship opportunities, entry-level employment pathways and ways to strengthen workforce development outcomes.
Responses will help inform the development of a National Workforce Development Strategy, ensuring that education, training, and employment initiatives are more closely aligned with the needs of the Cayman Islands labour market.
Business owners from all industry sectors are encouraged to participate and share their experiences. The information collected will be anonymous, and responses will be aggregated to prevent identifying information from being determined.
“This feedback is essential to identifying practical solutions that support both businesses and Caymanians seeking meaningful career opportunities,” said Ministry of Caymanian Employment and Immigration Deputy Chief Officer Danielle Roberts. “By participating, employers can help shape policies and programmes that respond directly to the needs of Cayman’s labour market.”
The survey will be available at publicconsultation.gov.ky from 10 June until 24 June 2026.
