Mutual Funds (Amendment) Bill, 2026 (LG6, S1)

Key Provisions:

  1. Introduces and amends definitions, including “digital equity token” and “tokenised mutual fund” to formally recognise tokenised fund structures in legislation.
  2. Sets specific operational and disclosure requirements for tokenised mutual funds, including record-keeping, transfer restrictions, risk disclosures and annual confirmations to the Authority.
  3. Strengthens regulatory oversight by granting the Authority explicit supervisory and inspection powers over tokenised mutual funds, including their underlying technology and token transactions.
