MOTT Welcomes New Accounts Officer

The Ministry of Tourism & Transport welcomes Nathania Simpson to the role of Accounts Officer I. Ms. Simpson previously worked in tourism and sales before moving to the finance and banking industry. Her most recent position was Revenue & Payables Clerk at the Caribbean Utilities Company.

“I have spent years across different sectors including banking, utilities, and events, but I seem to find my way back to tourism,” said Ms. Simpson. “I am excited for this opportunity to further the Ministry’s work alongside my very knowledgeable colleagues. I aim to become a valuable asset to the Ministry,” she continued.

Ms. Simpson’s daily duties include providing support to the finance team and assisting with monitoring the performance of entities within the Ministry’s portfolio. She will also offer assistance in the preparation of budgets and reports.

Ms. Simpson holds an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration from the University College of the Cayman Islands. She is currently undertaking a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Accounting at the University of South Florida, while simultaneously studying to become a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (ACAMS).

“We are very pleased to have Nathania on board with us. I am confident that she will grow from strength to strength as she continues to pursue her studies,” said Stran Bodden, Chief Officer in the Ministry of Tourism and Transport. “We look forward to working with Nathania and nurturing her development through the Ministry and the Civil Service on a whole,” he added.
