Mother’s Day 2026 Message From Premier Honourable André Ebanks

10 May 2026 | Press Release | By: Public Relations Unit

Good morning, Cayman Islands.

Today, we pause as a people, as a community to celebrate the women who are at the very heart of who we are. To every mother across Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac and Little Cayman- this day belongs to you.

As mothers, you have always been the keepers of our culture. Through you, our traditions live. Our love of the sea, our faith, our warmth, our pride in these Islands. From the generations who held families together while their husbands were away at sea, to the mothers of today balancing so much with quiet strength, you have always been our anchor.

Our government is committed to building a stronger, fairer Cayman and we know that vision begins at home, with the women who nurture our children, sustain our families and shape the character of this country.

Today, we also think of those for whom this day is difficult. Those grieving a mother, those whose journey has been hard. And we honour all mothers in every form- grandmothers, aunties, godmothers and every woman who loved without obligation.

To every mother in the Cayman Islands, you are the foundation of our country. On behalf of the NCFC Government and people of the Cayman Islands, we see you, we value you and we are truly grateful for all that you do.

Have a restful, peaceful and wonderful Mother’s Day. God bless.
