Message from the Premier on Father's Day

15 June 2025 | Statement | By: CIG Communications

It is a privilege to extend a heartfelt Happy Father's Day to all fathers and father figures across our three beloved islands. This is a day when we pause to celebrate the profound impact fathers have on our lives, families and in our communities.

Today, we especially remember and honour our forefathers - the courageous seafarers whose resilience, foresight and sheer determination laid the bedrock of the Cayman Islands. It was their sweat and sacrifice, unwavering spirit of adventure and enterprise that transformed these islands into the advanced and prosperous country we are so proud of today. We stand on their broad shoulders, forever grateful for the legacy they bequeathed us.

We also pay tribute to our veterans, many who are still with us today. Their selfless service and commitment to peace have ensured that the Cayman Islands remains a safe and tranquil country. Their sacrifices forged the peaceful society we enjoy, allowing us to build, dream, and thrive. To them, we offer our gratitude and respect.

To every father and father figure in the Cayman Islands being Grand Cayman, the Brac and Little Cayman - you are shaping the next generation of Caymanians. You are the silent heroes, the steady hands and the guiding lights within our families and communities. Your dedication, diligence and love for nurturing our young people are building blocks for a brighter future.

Let us continue to build a country where every child has the opportunity to flourish, be supported by strong and loving fathers and father figures. May your day be filled with joy, appreciation and cherished moments with your families.

Have a blessed and enjoyable Father’s Day. And may God bless the Cayman Islands.
