CBC Repatriates Eight Cuban Migrants

The Cayman Islands Customs and Border Control Service (CBC) repatriated eight (8) irregular migrants to the Republic of Cuba on Friday, 20 March 2026.

The five (5) male and three (3) female migrants were escorted by Customs and Border Control Officers. They departed Grand Cayman on a non-chartered Cayman Airways flight at approximately 1:15 p.m. This brings the total number of migrants repatriated to Cuba since the beginning of 2026 to twenty-eight (28).

CBC Director Bruce D. Smith expressed his appreciation to partner agencies for their ongoing collaboration and support in executing another successful operation.

There are currently seventeen (17) irregular Cuban migrants in the Cayman Islands, and additional repatriation flights will be arranged as processing continues.
