Administrative Appeals Tribunal Bill, 2025, (LG35, S1)

The Administrative Appeals Bill, 2025 establishes a single, independent Administrative Appeals Tribunal to hear appeals against government and public authority decisions. 

Key Provisions: 

  1. Establishes an independent tribunal, sets out its structure, membership, powers and procedures. 
  2. Provides for other Acts, under which decisions are made, to confer jurisdiction on the Tribunal to hear appeals against those decisions.
  3. Improves access to justice through a single-entry point to the tribunal system, a clear, fair process for appealing administrative decisions, consistent procedures, shorter timelines and lower costs.
