Election and Referendum Results

The Elections Office has announced the results of the 2025 General Election and Referendum as follows: 

General Election 

  • West Bay North – Rolston Anglin
  • West Bay West – Julie Hunter
  • West Bay Central – Katherine Ebanks-Wilks 
  • West Bay South – Andre Ebanks 
  • George Town North – Joseph Hew 
  • George Town West – Pearlina McGaw-Lumsden

  • Red Bay – Roy Tatum 
  • Prospect – Michael Myles

The Referendum 

  • Question 1: Should the Cayman Islands develop cruise berthing infrastructure? 
    • Yes: 5,417 
    • No: 11,973 
    • Spoilt: 1,275  
  • Question 2: Do you support the introduction of a National Lottery in the Islands? 
    • Yes: 9,563 
    • No: 7,770 
    • Spoilt: 1,330  
  • Question 3: Do you support the decriminalisation of the consumption and possession of small amounts of Cannabis? 
    • Yes: 10,385 
    • No: 6,809 
    • Spoilt: 1,483 

At the close of the polls at 6:00 pm, voter turnout was 73 per cent, with 18,539 ballots cast.    Speaking on the day's proceedings, Supervisor of Elections, Wesley Howell expressed heartfelt thanks to Election Day staff for their incredible hard work.   For more details on the vote, visit www.elections.ky.
