Tourism Ministry Welcomes New Financial Accountant

The Ministry of Tourism and Ports is pleased to announce the appointment of Florence Forbes as its new Financial Accountant. With over 30 years of experience in the financial industry, Ms. Forbes brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her new role which officially began on 14 November.
Ms. Forbes is a dedicated professional with a proven track record in financial accounting, utility accounting, mutual funds, and private equity fund accounting. With a reputation for methodically investigating and resolving complex accounting issues, Florence brings sound judgment and strategic decision-making to accounting challenges.
Armed with management experience, Florence has a strong background in reviewing financial statements, budgets & forecasting, spearheading audits, onboarding clients, team leadership, mastering high net worth clients, and executing on-site inspections. Her commitment to excellence and her ability to navigate the complexities of financial accounting make her a valuable addition to the Ministry of Tourism and Ports.
Ms. Forbes holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from the International College of the Cayman Islands and is currently pursuing the ACCA qualification. She officially began her service on 14 November.
