Temporary Office Closure – CBC Cargo Processing

4 November 2025 | Press Release | By: Brandon Jackson-Swaby

The Customs and Border Control Service (CBC) advises the public that its Cargo Processing Unit, located at 42 Owen Roberts Drive, will close early at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, 5 November 2025, to allow staff the opportunity to gather, reflect, and honour the life and service of our late colleague, Senior Customs and Border Control Officer Glarman “BoBo” Grant.

Normal business hours will resume on Thursday, 6 November 2025. During this time, the delivery/collection of cargo at the Cargo Warehouse will continue as per normal service operations.

The Ministry extends sincere condolences to Mr. Grant’s family, friends, and colleagues. A long-serving civil servant, Mr. Grant made a positive and lasting contribution to CBC, the Civil Service, and the Cayman Islands.

Operational guidance for customers and brokers:

·       Importers and brokers are encouraged to finalise entries and collections before 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

·       Time-sensitive shipments should be scheduled around the closure to avoid delays.

·       For assistance, please contact the CBC Customer Service Centre at 649-4579 or email at CBC.OnlineSupport@gov.ky.

CBC apologises for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciates the understanding and cooperation of its valued customers and stakeholders.
