Oneisha Richards is the Director of Communications at the Cabinet Office, where she leads the Cayman Islands Government’s (CIG) communications strategy. With over 24 years of experience in strategic marketing, communications, business and tourism development, she is a seasoned professional dedicated to enhancing public engagement and government transparency.

In her role, Oneisha provides strategic support to senior leaders across the Cayman Islands Government, ensuring the delivery of effective and impactful communications. She is responsible for managing CIG’s reputation, developing comprehensive communication plans, raising public awareness of government priorities, and enhancing public service communications. Under her leadership, the communications team strives to deliver world-class services, aligning with the government’s overarching goals and brand strategy.

Before assuming her current position, she held several senior roles, including Deputy Director of Tourism, International Marketing; Business Development Manager at Walkers Global; and Deputy Chief Officer for Tourism within the Ministry of Tourism and Transport.

Oneisha holds a Master’s degree in Marketing and E-Commerce from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor’s degree in Tourism and Travel Management from Florida International University. She is certified in ILM 5 and ILM 7 and is currently completing an Executive Scholar certification in Leadership at the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.
