MOTP Welcomes New Policy Advisor

The Ministry of Tourism and Ports (MOTP) is pleased to announce the recent appointment of Ashley Amador-Rankine as its new Policy Advisor. Ms. Amador-Rankine will provide support to the Chief Officer and Deputy Chief Officers in achieving the Ministry’s policy development responsibilities, strategic analysis, and other tourism and ports project-related work.

Ms. Amador-Rankine holds a Bachelor's Degree in Travel-Tourism & Hospitality Management and a Master's Degree in Marketing & Communications. Having previously worked in various sectors of the tourism industry both locally and internationally, she brings valuable experience in customer service, communications, and tourism research to the role.

“I am thrilled to join the Ministry of Tourism and Ports as a Policy Advisor,” said Ms. Amador-Rankine. “I am keen to contribute to the team achieving its goals in advancing the ports of entry and tourism product of our beautiful islands”.

Before joining the Ministry, Ms. Amador-Rankine worked with the Cayman Islands Department of Tourism (CIDOT) as Research Officer of the E-Business & Research Unit. Her responsibilities included the collection of tourism statistics and other relevant analytic data. Her other responsibilities included tourism data reporting that contributed to decision-making and ensuring plans and strategies developed for the tourism industry were well-informed and supported by current and reliable information.
