Minister Bryan's World Tourism Day 2024 Statement

September 27th is observed each year as World Tourism Day, giving us an opportunity to highlight aspects of the industry and recognise the positive impacts that tourism can have across the globe. This year’s theme, Tourism and Peace, emphasizes this and speaks to something that is truly close to our hearts here in the Cayman Islands.

Tourism is much more than just an industry. It’s a bridge—connecting people, cultures, and ideas. It opens doors to understanding, respect, and shared experiences that transcend borders. In many ways, tourism is a powerful force for peace, bringing the world together in ways few other sectors can.

The Cayman Islands, known for its warm hospitality and stunning natural beauty, has long been a place where locals and visitors alike feel a sense of peace.
