Kris New brings over 20 years of expertise in vector control to the Cayman Islands Mosquito Research and Control Unit (MRCU), where he serves as Deputy Director overseeing Research and Ground Operations. He holds a B.S. in Agricultural Engineering from Mississippi State University and an MBA from Delta State University.

Kristoffer 'Kris' New began his career with ADAPCO/Azelis in 2003, where he gained extensive experience in mosquito control technologies, training, and ULV application equipment. He later joined Vector Disease Control International (VDCI), advancing to Regional Director, managing accounts across six Southeastern U.S. states and overseeing diverse mosquito management programs.

Since joining MRCU in March 2023, Kris has provided strategic leadership to a team of about 40, contributing his expertise in Integrated Mosquito Management, disease surveillance, and operational excellence. His dedication to advancing mosquito control efforts makes him a vital member of MRCU's Senior Management Team.
