The Cayman Islands National Attractions Authority (CINAA) invites applications from accomplished and experienced Human Resources professionals for the position of HR Business Partner.

Reporting directly to the Director, the HR Business Partner will provide strategic and operational leadership across the Authority’s HR function and serve as a trusted advisor to management.

This is a key position for a proactive and solutions-oriented HR professional who is confident working independently, exercises sound judgement, and can effectively balance strategic HR priorities with the demands of day-to-day operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

The HR Business Partner will be responsible for:

  • Providing professional, strategic, and practical HR advice to the Director and management team.
  • Leading workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, and talent management initiatives.
  • Developing, reviewing, and implementing HR policies, procedures, and practices in alignment with applicable Cayman Islands legislation and organisational objectives.
  • Managing employee relations matters, including grievances, disciplinary proceedings, and workplace disputes.
  • Overseeing performance management processes and supporting employee development initiatives.
  • Leading and coordinating training and professional development initiatives.
  • Promoting employee engagement and a positive workplace culture founded on accountability, respect, and performance excellence.
  • Ensuring consistent application of HR policies and practices across CINAA’s multiple locations.
  • Maintaining accurate and effective HR records, systems, reporting, and documentation, including the effective use of BambooHR.
  • Maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity in all HR matters.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

The successful candidate should possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Five (5) to seven (7) years of progressive HR management experience, including at least three (3) years in a supervisory, management, or HR advisory capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of the Cayman Islands Labour Act and related employment legislation, as well as contemporary HR principles and best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience providing HR advice and guidance to managers and senior leadership.
  • Strong employee relations experience, including the management of grievances, disciplinary matters, and workplace disputes.
  • Proven ability to balance strategic HR initiatives with day-to-day operational requirements.
  • Experience with HR information systems, preferably BambooHR, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organisational, and decision-making abilities.
  • The ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with professionalism, discretion, and tact.
  • High ethical standards, sound professional judgement, and a proactive, collaborative, and solutions-focused approach.
