Dr. Josette Lawrence is a Deputy Chief Officer for the Cayman Islands Ministry of Financial Services and Commerce.

She helps to oversee the strategy, operations and administration of the Cayman Islands Ministry of Financial Services and Commerce and agencies under its remit. Her portfolio extends across operational and administrative functions with direct responsibilities for the Ministry’s centralised units that includes finance, human resources management, records and information management and administration.

Dr. Lawrence, a former Director of the National Archive has over 30 years of experience in both the public and private sector, and she has worked for various entities across the civil service including the Strategic Reforms Implementation Unit, the Ministry of Health, and the Portfolio of the Civil Service. She hold degrees from the University of the Arts London, the University of Portsmouth and the University of Liverpool, and she is a certified professional life and executive coach.
