DEH Garbage Fees Online Payment Portal is Now Live
The Department of Environmental Health (DEH) is pleased to announce that its brand-new digital payment portal for garbage fees is officially live and available for public transactions as of today, Monday, June 22, 2026.
Developed in close collaboration with the Department of eGovernment (eGov), and Computer Services Department (CSD) this modern platform represents a major milestone in the Cayman Islands’ ongoing drive to digitize public services. This initial launch represents the first phase of a broader digital rollout, serving as the foundation for many other departmental services that will soon be integrated into the same payment system.
The portal is actively accepting live transactions. Customer can make their payments by navigating directly to the platform at gov.ky/web/deh/garbage-fees or visiting DEH’s website at gov.ky/deh, selecting Services from the menu options then Garbage Fees.
"The official launch of this brand-new payment portal delivers directly on our promise to modernise customer interactions," said DEH Director Richard Simms. "Developed in partnership with the expert team at eGov, this portal provides our customers with a secure, 24/7 self-service tool to pay for their garbage fees effortlessly. This is just the beginning of our digital expansion, and by embracing digital innovation, we are making everyday government transactions faster, simpler, and far more efficient for everyone we serve."
Meanwhile, eGov Director Ian Tibbetts said “they are proud to partner with the DEH to develop and implement this online payment portal. Initiatives like this are at the heart of what we do — making it easier and more efficient to do business in the Cayman Islands by making government services accessible online. We look forward to continuing our journey of digital transformation, working with DEH and other government agencies to expand the range of services available online. At eGovernment, we are committed to bringing digital government to life for the people of the Cayman Islands, and this is another important step forward in that mission”.
Operating around the clock, this newly launched online payment system gives business, landlords and strata managers total flexibility to clear their accounts whenever and wherever they choose. The streamlined interface requires only a standard credit or debit card to finalize transactions. This digital transition eliminates the need to stand in line or physically travel to DEH’s Head Office, resulting in significantly reduced wait times, fewer vehicle trips, and a lighter environmental footprint through paperless efficiency. Transactions processed through the portal are fast, reliable, and secure, delivering an instant digital confirmation receipt to users immediately upon payment.
