Overview

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning, facilitation, and evaluation of clinical examinations.
  • Deliver laboratory-based instruction, including simulation and skills validation activities.
  • Teach, supervise, and assess nursing competencies in accordance with established rubrics and programme standards.
  • Provide direct clinical supervision and preceptorship of students within approved healthcare settings.
  • Evaluate student clinical performance using evidence-based assessment methodologies.
  • Ensure adherence to patient safety principles, ethical practice standards, and institutional policies.
  • Collaborate with course coordinators and faculty to ensure alignment between didactic, laboratory, and clinical learning experiences.
  • Maintain accurate documentation related to student evaluation and clinical progression.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited tertiary institution.
  • Minimum of two years bedside clinical nursing experience.
  • Current license as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Eligibility for or current registration with the Cayman Islands Nursing and Midwifery Council
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Legal residency in the Cayman Islands.
