The Ministry of Tourism & Ports is pleased to have hosted two public consultation meetings which examined options for the future expansion or relocation of the George Town Cargo Port. These meetings were part of the Ministry's ongoing commitment to transparency and community involvement in our major infrastructure projects.
The consultations provided an opportunity for members of the public to share their thoughts, ask questions and allowed th consultants to provide feedback on the cargo port project. The input received during the in-person meetings as well as the surveys will play a crucial role in the decision-making process, ensuring that the chosen option meets the needs and expectations of the community.
The Ministry is grateful to everyone who attended the meetings or participated in the online survey. The feedback is vital in helping to make informed decisions that reflect the community's vision for the future of our Cargo Port and the economic development of the Cayman Islands.
