Official Government Misinformation Alerts


The Cayman Islands Government (CIG) is aware of a number of misleading messages, scams, and sources of false news circulating online.

Below are recent misinformation cases that CIG has identified and issued warnings about.

If you encounter suspicious online activity, report it to the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service (RCIPS) Financial Crime Investigation Unit at RCIPS.FCU@rcips.ky, especially if you have been a victim of this or any other scam.
