The role of Government communications is to drive public trust and engagement in government priorities through audience driven campaigns, content and channels. Good communications can help transform lives - from opening up dialogue on the future of public services, or encouraging access to available services, through to providing public reminders and warnings.
Communications supports effective policy creation and implementation in six main areas:
Building trust & confidence in the Cayman Islands Government
Maintaining and improving the reputation of the government at home and overseas
Raising awareness of new policies to encourage take up and engagement
Enabling the creation of effective policy making through public engagement
Encouraging behaviour change to achieve policy outcomes
Informing and reassuring the public in times of crisis

Cross-Government Communications Planning
The development of Government Communications follows the process below. The cross-Government Communications Plan establishes a shared voice across Government, setting out the communication priorities and demonstrating a focused effort to reach policy goals. Working across organisational boundaries and uniting the communications community, we work to ensure Government's messages are accurate, timely and engaging.
