Effective Government communications plays a very important role in all successful societies. Communications is one of the five main levers of Government alongside legislation, regulation, revenue generation and expenditure. In this role our Department understands how important it is to ensure we are delivering effective communications to the people of the Cayman Islands, so they are informed and engaged in Government policies and priorities. As such our aim is to be visible, strategic and trusted partners across Government.
To fulfill this aim, we are focused on the strategic process of communicating with our audiences to build trust, enhance awareness and engagement and to protect the Government’s reputation.
Using the Cross Government Communications Strategy to inform the Cayman Islands Government Communications Plan we take a strategy-first approach to determine the most effective communication content, channels and messages to reach a wide variety of audiences to keep them informed and empowered.
Gone are the days of just relying on press releases; we have evolved into a full-service entity that has successfully developed tailored communications campaigns to deliver policy goals - making every idea, piece of content and channel work as hard as it possibly can.
Driven by insights and creativity we are leading authorities in content marketing and content creation, crisis management and media management, policy launches and thought leadership. With this we have established ourselves as the in-house experts in communicating key messages that breathe life into policy and legislation, influence opinion, change behaviour and foster trust.
