As strategic partners, the DoC supports cross-government campaigns through curated and high-quality content. Through a comprehensive government communications strategy, we oversee proactive communications and brand stewardship at home and overseas.

Organisation and Functions

The Government Communications Service led by the Department of Communications is the Civil Service function and professional body for people working in communication roles in the Cayman Islands Government's ministries, portfolios, departments and statutory authorities 

The Department of Communications holds expertise in all communications disciplines. The department includes several collaborating units, each leading on various functions to produce the very best in modern-day, inclusive, informative and creative communications.  

These include Administration and Gazettes, Content and Production which oversees video production, CIGTV and graphics, Internal Communications, Engagement and Training, Public Relations as well as Strategic Communications - which is responsible for all CIG digital channels as well as insights and reporting.  

All functions report into the Director of Communications to support Government priorities and enable the effective operation of public services and make the lives of those we serve better.  

The role of Government Communications is to drive public trust and engagement in government priorities through audience driven campaigns, content and channels.
